Plain terms for a product in private beta. They will be expanded before general availability; if that happens the date above changes and material changes are noted.
1. The website
This website is provided for information. Content may change without notice. Nothing on it is a contract, an offer of service, or professional advice.
2. The application
Tarang is available to approved users under a separate arrangement. Access may be granted, limited, suspended or withdrawn.
3. What the analysis is
Tarang produces analytical assistance: extracted transactions, groupings, patterns, matches and gaps. It does not determine that any transaction or person is fraudulent, criminal or suspicious, and its output is not evidence, an audit opinion, a legal conclusion or a regulatory filing. Findings must be reviewed against source documents, context and other material by a qualified person, who remains responsible for any conclusion drawn.
4. Your responsibilities
- You must have lawful authority to possess and analyse any material you process, and you are responsible for complying with the law that applies to it.
- You must not upload material you are not entitled to hold.
- You are responsible for the security of your own deployment, credentials and exported reports.
- You must not attempt to access another user's data, or test the security of a deployment you are not authorised to test.
5. Accuracy
Bank statements vary and parsing is imperfect. Tarang flags what it cannot verify, but it cannot guarantee that every row of every document is extracted or classified correctly. Check figures that matter against the source statement.
6. Liability
The software is provided without warranty of any kind, to the extent the law allows. Tarang is not liable for decisions taken on the basis of its output, nor for indirect or consequential loss.
7. Intellectual property
The Tarang name, the software and the content of this website belong to their author. Your case data and reports remain yours.
